ORIC Capital Benchmarking Survey 2020
Updated: Aug 14, 2019
The ORIC International Capital Benchmarking Survey is the most comprehensive operational risk modelling survey in the market. The aim of the survey, in keeping with the purpose of the consortium, is to help participating firms benchmark their approaches against other insurance and investment management firms in order to identify potential areas for improvement.
The survey, which was first launched in 2019 was completed by more than 20 participants and was well received by consortium, particularly in it's comprehensiveness with more than 100 questions asked across the five key modelling components:
Inputs (Use of loss data, scenarios, controls and risk registers)
Modelling (Approaches, distributions, correlations)
Validation
Benchmarking
Outputs
Ahead of the 2020 survey launching in October of this year, we intend to open up registration to non-members. As with any survey, the results are at their most valuable where the analysis is based on a large number of contributors across a range of firm sizes, types and geographical locations and so we invite any interested parties to register their interest below.
